Wie sagt man … auf Deutsch? How do you say … in German?

On your call, Mira says these with you and corrects your pronunciation as you go.

Why speak German?

German is Europe's most widely spoken native language and a powerhouse for work and study. Its reputation for difficulty melts away once you start talking.

135 million speakers

Europe's most spoken native language

Over 100 million people speak German. It is a gateway to engineering, research and business across the German-speaking world.

Long words are easier out loud

German compounds look scary on the page but break into simple parts when you say them. Speaking makes the grammar click.

Cases stick through use

Der, die, das and the four cases feel abstract until you use them in real sentences. Talking is the fastest way to internalise them.

Tips to speak German sooner

Break long compound words into their parts, say each one, then blend them.

Speak full sentences so the case endings become muscle memory, not rules.

Practise the 'ch' and 'r' sounds aloud, since they rarely exist in English.

Questions, answered

Will speaking help me with German cases?

Absolutely. Using der, die, das and the cases in real spoken sentences is the fastest way to make them automatic instead of memorised.

Do I need to know any German already?

No, you can start as a complete beginner. Mira speaks slowly, keeps things simple, and can help in English when you are stuck, then raises the difficulty as you improve.

How is this different from a language app?

Apps build vocabulary but rarely make you speak in real time. Indilingo Voice is a live phone conversation, so you practise understanding and speaking German together, which is what real conversations demand.
